The winery building is approximately 25,000 sq ft and consists of the Hospitality Center. Here are located the tasting bar, sales area, video room, commercial kitchen for outside dining cafe, 4 private offices, and conference area and more. The winery itself consists of areas for processing, bottling, a lab, barrel room, case storage and warehouse – all with state of the art equipment. The bottling line is mono bloc – bottle rinser, nitrogen sparger, filler, corker, foiler, and labeler which operates in a ‘clean room’. The processing equipment, tank and case storage can handle increased production by as much as 40%.
The total property consists of approximately 169 acres, 102 of which used for vineyard and winery purposes. This acreage is owned in fee although the development rights for any further residential development have been transferred to the Little Compton Conservancy Trust. There are an additional 67 acres that have been subdivided into five residential homesites. One lot is improved with a 2,800 sq ft home. All approvals are in place for a few, lucky people to live the life of a vintner in incredibly beautiful surroundings.
There are currrently 36+ acres of producing vineyards. Whites include Chardonnay, Gewurtzraminer and Vidal Blanc. Reds include Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and smaller amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a grape called Chancellor which is used for Port. There are also a series of blends, both white and red, a Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine and an Ice Wine.
